Each piece from A Putia du Re is 100% handmade and hand painted. This Paladin puppet is made of, velvet, brass, iron, oak, beech and cotton; It was made in Mascalucia, on the Etna Volcano mountain slope, Sicily.
The one in this list is King Agricane. In the Puppets Opera, this character was the King of the Mongol Empire. This puppet comes from a top-notch special collection and it is signed buy the artist.

We import those items from Sicily to the U. S. for the enjoyment of our customers. This is one of a kind item, impossible to reproduce exactly as it is. This puppet will look great in your office, living room or dining room.

About the Paladins...
Sometimes known as the Twelve Peers, were the foremost warriors of Charlemagne's court, according to the literary cycle known as the Matter of France. They are the characters of the Sicilian Puppet Theater and very popular on the island. Each puppet represented a specific paladin distinguishable by armor, color and symbols.
In 2001 UNESCO included the Sicilian Puppets under the ”Intangible Heritage of Humanity”.
